Sport is widely represented at the LCL. Of course we have the physical education classes, the Sport Interlyceale and we have been participating in a hockey tournament for years. A football tournament was still missing, but that changed in 2008.
From then on, the physical education section organised its own football tournament during 12 editions for students from classes 1 and 2 against schools from the region. In the meantime, this has become a tournament organised alternately by the participating schools. When it's our turn, the tournament is always on the fields of RKSV Nuenen, but this school year we are a guest in Bladel at the PiusX College.
The tournament once started small, but has now become a concept among schools from the region and the applications exceed the available places to participate every year. Therefore, selection times are held each year and teams are set up on this basis. An exciting moment, but also a great opportunity to play extra sports with friends, classmates or yearmates.
After the selections, the schools will finally participate in the tournament on the last Friday before the May holiday. Always a beautiful, sporty day in which, besides fanatic football, friendships are made and (usually) enjoy the beautiful weather.
