LCL soccer tournament

At the LCL, sports are omnipresent. So, of course, we have physical education classes, the Sport Interlyceale and have participated in a field hockey tournament for years. A soccer tournament was still missing, but that changed in 2008.

Indeed, from then on, the physical education department has organized its own soccer tournament for grade 1 and 2 students against schools in the region for 12 editions. This has since grown into a tournament that is alternately organized by the participating schools. When it is our turn, the tournament is invariably held on the fields of RKSV Nuenen, but this school year we are guests of the PiusX College in Bladel.

The tournament started out small, but has since become a household name among schools in the region and the applications exceed the available places to participate every year. Every year there are selection moments and based on these selection moments teams are composed. An exciting moment, but also a great opportunity to play extra sports with friends, classmates or classmates.

After the selections, the schools finally take part in the tournament on the last Friday before the May vacations. Always a wonderful, sporting day where, in addition to fanatical soccer, friendships are made and the beautiful weather is (usually) enjoyed.
