Our education

Welcome to our friendly school, the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum. We educate you for a havo, atheneum or gymnasium diploma. The havo is a five-year general education for smart doers. It gives you access to higher vocational education or a progression to atheneum 5. The atheneum forms the vwo together with the gymnasium. This is a six-year program whose diploma gives you access to higher vocational education or university. As a vwo student, you look for in-depth content to prepare you for a more academic study. When you choose the gymnasium, you delve extra deeply into the languages and culture of classical antiquity.

Classroom activities

We offer numerous extra activities within classes. There is something fun or challenging for everyone at our school, such as Cambridge, Brainsport and Quest. Take a look at our wide range of in-class activities.

Non-teaching activities

At our school you can also take part in numerous activities outside of class, such as First Lego League, Olympiads, Interlyceals, debate club and much more. If you are curious if there is something for you, click below.

Research Curriculum

From an early age, students look at the world with curiosity and inquisitive eyes: the why question is often asked. At the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum, we believe it is important to further develop and encourage students' research skills, from bridge class to final exam class. Time and again we appeal to students' inquiring minds to deepen and broaden their creative research skills.

Internationalization

It is important to us that our students have the opportunity to discover new places and cultures. This gives them a broader view of the world around them, in which we are increasingly interconnected.

We offer our students a variety of opportunities when it comes to field trips and tours, such as:

  • Kempen (Germany) in the bridge class;
  • With history to Bayeux;
  • Language tours to Lille, Cologne and Namur (Namur).

Fast forward to
