Several years ago we were the first high school in Eindhoven to take the initiative to start a havo bridge class. With positive results. With a havo recommendation you can immediately start at the right level. This not only gives more chance of success, but especially more chance of fun!
With a havo/vwo recommendation, you can also start in the two-year havo/vwo class. Classes start at havo level and that is gradually built up to vwo level. So after the first year you don't have to choose havo 2 or vwo 2 yet, but have another year to find out what you have in store for you. After the 2nd year you continue in havo 3 or vwo 3.
From the fourth year you start within your chosen profile. Our school counselor helps you with your orientation on study and profession. This orientation begins in class 3 and enables you to make a responsible choice: both for the profile and the subsequent course. The subject package depends on the choice of profile. Students can choose from the following profiles:
After the profile choices, you will again enter newly composed classes. We therefore find it important that you get to know each other well during an introduction day in Aquabest. This will take place on a Friday in the first weeks of school.
BSM havo 4 and havo 5
Especially for havo students we have the subject of Exercise, Sports and Society, or BSM. A subject you have probably never heard of and that is not surprising. BSM is a subject that we only teach to our havo students in the upper grades. We explain below exactly what BSM entails.
HavoP offers students the chance to be even better prepared for the future and for further education through a challenging question from a company or institution. It is seen as an exam component, in addition to the combination grade of the profile paper, CKV and social studies.
We will start with a pilot next school year, with a group of interested students.
Those with a taste for (business) economics can participate in our LCL Business Class. Set up your own company and learn from real-life professionals. Get started with your business so that you already gain skills for your own business later.
During the LCL Business Class you will encounter all facets of entrepreneurship, from coming up with your product to marketing and presentation, but also the financial aspect will be covered. Will you make and sell your own product? Or organize a clothing fair? It's all possible! During the course of havo 4 you will work in teams to set up and run your company, supported by subject teachers and guest speakers. A visit to a real company is also a must. In this way you will experience optimally how entrepreneurship works.

BSM is the subject par excellence where you learn by doing. You learn skills that you will need later in your career. Think about organization, leadership and cooperation. In teaching these skills we always use sport as a tool. The subject is taught by a physical education teacher and you will find extra hours of PE on your timetable. In addition to important skills for the future, you also get more exercise. A win-win situation! At BSM you will also receive tests on the subject matter, but that is not all. You will also be assessed on the organization and execution of various projects. For example, our BSM students help organize various fields days and organize the sports part of the Open Day. You might run into them during your physical education class when they come to teach. You can recognize them by their own BSM sports shirt, which they design every year. The course is mainly a practical subject with a little bit of theory. Do you find it hard to stay on your chair? Then you are very welcome at BSM.

Did you know that at our school you can have an extra language put on your diploma? You then do not take the classes at the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum, but we do facilitate the possibility that it will eventually be a mark on your diploma. Think Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish.
