The Decanate and Career Orientation and Guidance (LOB)
The deans are partly responsible for the LOB process (career, orientation and guidance) of you as a student at our school. During the period you are a student at our school, you make choices that are important to the future. An important choice is the Profile and Course Choice in third grade.
In the superstructure you go a choose study. In addition to guiding your choice processes, we think it is important that you develop skills that also allow you to handle life at later times. Lifelong learning and development is important in a world that is changing at an ever faster pace.
The school has chosen to make the students work with Qompas. An online system where you do short tests. In the third classes work is done on different steps towards the profile choice. In the superstructure you work on a study choice.
In Qompas a number of questions are addressed in different ways.
During the study classes you work on Qompas. Your mentor can help you with that. When you have more specific questions you can also contact the deanate for advice. Walk into room 229 or send an email to decaan@lcl.nl .
As far as the preparation of a choice of studies is concerned, it is important to look at the training, which are interesting to you. This can be done during the Open Day, but often it is much more valuable to participate in a walking day or a trial day.
In the superstructure you are entitled to two leave days each year and the form to let this school know can be found on LCL-Home.
Through LCL-home you will find all kinds of information under the tile decanate and we try to keep it as current as possible. Teams can also be used by the decanate as an information channel.
An important website of the government when it comes to study choices for HBO (Higher Vocational Education) and WO (scientific education) is Study Choice 123. (https://www.studychoice123.en/). On this site you will find a lot of reliable information about the possible studies.
