Fear of failure training

For students who are anxious about failure, the school has anxiety reduction trainers who, in small groups, offer students tools for dealing with stress. Application is usually made at the student's own request and in consultation with or on the recommendation of the mentor or year group coordinator. Help for coping with moments of stress is available for all year layers. For final exam candidates there is a separate training 'coping with exam stress'.

Meeting "planning and study skills"

For students who need extra support with planning and study skills when preparing for test weeks, it is possible to attend a separate meeting. During this meeting students make a planning of their study work and attention is paid to the balance between exertion and relaxation. Various study skills are also discussed.

STORM approach

In the South-East Brabant region, a collaboration between schools GGD, youth aid, GGZ and municipalities has been established. The goal of the collaboration is to quickly pick up and address signals of gloominess in young people. STORM stands for "Strong Teans and Resilient Minds". The STORM approach is a program that focuses preventively on encouraging the development of a positive self-image, resilience and resilience. The STORM approach consists of four interventions. At school, lessons on mental health are taught. Mentors and teachers are trained in how to talk to students when students are not feeling well. The GGD administers questionnaires to identify depressive symptoms and suicidal thoughts early. At school, the skills training "At Full Strength" is offered by student counseling.
