This school year we started with a new trajectory for students looking for more challenge: GymnasiumPlus! This education is specially designed for students who need more challenge and who like to have time to explore their own interests and questions at school. Are you more or more gifted and looking for more floors than you're used to in elementary school? Then gymnasiumPlus is for you!
At gymnasiumPlus, our teachers work faster through the regular course material, creating space to do research with classmates on topics that really interest you. Besides the regular courses, you will receive lessons in philosophy and programming, and there are several exciting excursions on the schedule. Every week there is project education. In addition, you get a mentor who follows and guides your development in both learning and social emotional fields.
We see great results in the gymnasium plus class. Many students love being in class with developmental peers. The atmosphere is relaxed and positive, and after school students often stay together in the auditorium to study, do homework or relax. They share interests, humour and level of thought. For some, it is getting used to working in a classroom again, because they often worked individually in primary school, but that transition is becoming ever more flexible.
GymnasiumPlus is there for students who are ready to broaden their horizons and to discover and develop their talents together with others. We continue to follow this group carefully and adapt our program where necessary so that it continues to meet the needs of our students. So we build an environment in which talents can flourish and each student feels truly at home. We look forward to seeing the growth and special moments of this group!
