Welcome to our cozy school! When you drive into the Celebeslaan, you see a small school with 1,150 students, hidden in the greenery at a beautiful location on the outskirts of Eindhoven. A place that radiates tranquility, but appearances are deceptive: within this serene environment it is bustling with dynamism, and you can choose havo, atheneum, gymnasium or gymnasiumPlus to prepare for your future.
On this page you will find everything you want to know about our school. Watch the video to the right to get an impression. Feel free to stop by for an LCL Experience day, LCL Active, LCL Plus, one of our information evenings or the Open Day to experience our school for yourself!
See you soon at the LCL!
The Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is known as a school where you learn a lot - and we are proud of that! We are among the best schools in the Netherlands, but above all we are a place where you quickly feel at home. Our school offers a nice environment where learning, sports and relaxation go hand in hand.
Around the school are beautiful sports fields where you can play field hockey, soccer and participate in tournaments throughout the year. During the introductory days you will get to know your new classmates and discover together how everything works, so you will feel at home right away. Together with your new friends, our school will soon feel like your place!
Quest is a unique subject offered only at the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum. In these classes you learn to cooperate, research, present and evaluate. You work in groups on different projects about current and relevant topics, in which several subjects come together. During Quest you learn how to use digital technology and we pay attention to civic education. You also work on your research skills.
Guest lectures, company visits and workshops by external experts give you a glimpse of the world outside school. You will conclude each project with a final presentation, to which your parents, siblings and other interested parties are welcome at school. Of course, during the lessons and presentations you will be well guided by your Quest teacher and your mentor.
In school year 2022-2023, we introduced the 45-minute schedule in our teaching schedule. And we like it. Students have more free time at the end of the class day this way!
On a yearly basis there are (including the test weeks) a maximum of 6 tests for a 1 or 2-hour subject, 8 tests for a 3-hour subject, 10 tests for a 4-hour subject. The 4 weeks of tests take place the week before a school vacation.
Some of the focal points within our school we would like to mention here additionally (of course there are more).
