Personal attention in secondary school for havo and vwo

At the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum we attach great importance to the personal growth and development of our students. That's why we keep our havo bridge classes small. In these classes, especially for students with a Havo advice, teachers get the chance to give you the necessary attention and guidance (b) to give. We understand the transition from primary to high school can be exciting. That's why we make you feel comfortable. In Havo junior you learn in a trusted environment where you can discover and develop your talents. With a smaller number of students per class, there is room for interaction, questions and personal guidance, allowing you to get the best out of yourself. The Lorentz Casimir Lyceum aims to create a learning environment in which you feel safe and valued, allowing you to perform and to grow optimally.

Find out what suits you

With us at school, you don't have to choose between havo and vwo. In our two-year-old havo/vwo bridge class you get the chance to discover what suits you best. The lessons start at havo level and are gradually built up to vwo level. This means that you can discover at your own pace where your interests and talents lie, without having to make a choice after the first year. After this two-year junior, you decide whether to continue in the third grade of the Havo or the atheneum. This approach gives you the opportunity to get used to high school life and to expand your knowledge and skills in a stable way. Our teachers are there to support and guide you, so you can make informed choices for your future. Whether you choose havo or vwo, the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum offers a solid basis for your further school career.

Develop your talents with additional challenges

The vwo at the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is more than just studying from books. In the atheneum and gymnasium bridge classes we offer a challenging learning environment for students with vwo advice. At the atheneum you can choose a course without classical languages, ideal if you want to focus on modern subjects. In the gymnasium bridge class you dive into the world of classical languages, such as Latin and Greek, and learn more about the culture of antiquity. For highly gifted students, we offer the GymnasiumPlus seventh grade, where you accelerate through the regular fabric. This class gives you extra space for project education, where you can work with your classmates on topics that you find interesting, such as programming or philosophy. For example, we offer a varied and enriching learning environment in which you are encouraged to get the best out of yourself. Whether you are interested in classical antiquity, modern sciences or philosophical issues, at the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum you will always find a place that suits you.

With these different options in our hAvo, vwo and havo/vwo bridges ensure that every student gets the right support and challenges. We look forward to welcoming you and together to make a nice, educational journey at the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum.

In the small Havo Bridge classes, teachers can give more personal attention to each student. This ensures a safe and trusted learning environment, allowing you to learn and develop optimally.
