Please report your child's absence due to illness by 8:30 a.m. by phone at 040-2909420. After absence due to illness, parents/caregivers will call school to confirm return to school. Usually, attendance checks take place during the first few hours. If your child is unjustifiably absent, home will be contacted. Dental and doctor visits must also be reported to the janitors by phone or in writing in a timely manner so that our absentee record is optimal. If a student feels sick during the school day and wants to go home, contact with home will always take place before we allow the child to go home. Please then report your child's homecoming so that we do not have to worry unnecessarily.

For absences of longer duration, mutual contact between parents and mentor is necessary, for example to make homework arrangements. If rehearsals and the like have been missed due to absence, the student should make an appointment with the teacher as soon as possible. Missed tests can be made up at the common catch-up hours on Friday afternoons. For upper school students, please note the regulations in the examination regulations, which are very strict regarding absence from tests. These regulations can be found in the ELE of Magister.

Unauthorized absenteeism, i.e. truancy, leads to a discussion with the year group coordinator and appropriate action. After 5 reports of unauthorized absenteeism, parents are notified and after 10 incidents of unauthorized absenteeism and/or tardy reports, we are legally obliged to report this to the compulsory attendance officer, who then takes over from the school. Parents and student will be notified.
