Seeking and getting better

A student's illness can be transmitted directly by the parents in Magister. This can be done via both the App and Magister Web. The report can be made for the same day or the following day, indicating the expectation when the student will be better.
If the student is fit enough to go to school again, we ask the parents to pass this on in Magister. If the student has a medical appointment, such as a visit to the dentist, orthodontist, general practitioner or medical specialist, this can also be passed on in Magister. The date and time at which the pupil will be absent must then be completed.

Seeking in Magister goes as follows:

  • Go in Magister to the cup of Abstention.
  • Please select Report Absent, to register an absence due to a medical appointment.

Sick notification during a school day

If a student feels sick during school day and wants to go home, contact always takes place at home before we let the student go home. We therefore ask you to inform us by telephone that the student has come home safely, so that we do not have to worry unnecessarily.

For absences of longer duration, mutual contact between parents and mentor is necessary, for example in order to make homework arrangements. If absent tests and the like are missed, the student makes an appointment with the teacher as soon as possible to make up for the work. Missed keys can be caught up on the common catch-up hours on Friday afternoon. The rules in the examination rules, which are very strict as to the absence of tests, apply to the upper secondary pupils. This regulation can be found at LCL Home, which the student has access to.

Unauthorized failure, so skipping class, leads to a conversation with the annual layer coordinator and appropriate measures. After 5 reports of unauthorized failure, parents are informed of this and after 10 instances of unauthorized failure and/or late notifications we are legally obliged to report this to the compulsory education officer, who subsequently takes over from the school. Parents and pupils shall be informed accordingly.
