A solid base in five years of havo

The HAVO programme at Lorentz Casimir Lyceum offers you a solid and versatile preparation for higher education in five years or, if you like, a switch to vwo. You start with a broad orientation and end with a profile that fits your interests and future plans. In the intervening years you develop yourself in both cognitive and social areas. You will receive courses such as Dutch, English, mathematics, biology and history, but also courses that stimulate your creativity or technical insight. The curriculum is built in such a way that you gradually gain more ownership of your learning process. So you grow not only in knowledge, but also in independence.

Education for innovation

The Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is not just a school. As an official Brainport school, we are part of a network of schools working with companies, knowledge institutions and governments in the Eindhoven region. You are working on various projects on technology, sustainability and innovation. You do this in subjects like Quest, 3Design and Cambridge.

You learn to analyze problems, collaborate on solutions and present your ideas. The project work fits perfectly with what will be asked of you later on in HBO or in practice. This way, as a student of Lorentz, you have been connected to the world around you from the beginning.

Havo at the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is more than an education. It is a personal, broad and forward-looking learning route in which you as a student are central. We give you the space to discover, grow and excel. We offer you structure and freedom, guidance and challenge. You not only develop knowledge, but learn different skills and gain confidence. This way you will not only go out with a diploma, but also with a backpack full of beautiful experiences, insights and ambitions.

LCL Active is a sports and games afternoon where you can also check out all junior classes. The afternoon is special for all pupils in the seventh grade. You can come together with your friends and family. Enjoy an afternoon for super fun activities and ask all the questions you have!
During the LCL Experience at our school, students from the 7th and 9th grade can get acquainted with the lessons we teach. There are three afternoons with a different program. This way the students can take a look at as many lessons as possible!
Since 2024 we are in a brand new building, in the middle of the green. It is durable, modern and fully equipped: a sciencelab, several studios and specialist rooms, open work areas and views of the park everywhere.
You will receive personal guidance from a mentor and teachers. They help you switch to high school and make you feel at home soon in class.
You have space to exercise and participate in cultural activities. The school considers relaxation and development important in several areas, so there are sports fields and creative workshops.
