Topics for this chapter

Once every four years the school is visited by the Education Inspectorate. In 2023, the school received the qualification "good" in this regard. From the most recent report from 2018, we quote the Education Inspectorate's findings below:

"We rate the quality of the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum as good. The educational process, learning outcomes and quality assurance far exceed the quality requirements set by the inspectorate for each school. The Lorentz Casimir Lyceum convincingly demonstrates an offer that challenges students at their level, interest or support needs. In subject lessons, the emphasis is on acquiring knowledge beyond the basic subject matter of havo and vwo. In project teaching in which all students participate and in specific lessons for the gifted and highly gifted, students acquire higher learning skills and can deepen their knowledge. Teachers are skilled in dealing with the differences between pupils and this benefits pupils who need extra support, top talents and the gifted and highly talented. These students are professionally supervised in this regard by the school's support team. Learning outcomes are well above standard. Parents, teachers and the management share a common vision of education. They place a high value on professional education, high learning achievements and the acquisition of 21st century skills. In doing so, the board conducts a professional dialogue with parents and teachers about the risks of change and includes the quality standards or expectations of each actor in the discussion. The professional culture of the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is characterized by setting high standards for each other, a preference for a gradual approach to change, and a flexible response to educational needs."

"THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS, LEARNING OUTCOMES AND QUALITY ASSURANCE FAR EXCEED THE QUALITY REQUIREMENTS SET BY THE INSPECTORATE FOR EACH SCHOOL."
