The school keeps a variety of personal data on parents and students. The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) prescribes that the processing of data by the school must be carried out carefully and that the data collected must be sufficient, relevant, correct and accurate. Naturally, a duty of confidentiality applies. We ensure that all data is properly secured. If desired, the data can be viewed. Detailed information on this can be found in the IPB policy and the Privacy Statement for Students, which can be found on the website www.lcl.nl.

We take many photos of activities and events in which students participate. Due to privacy laws, we ask parents and students to sign a statement through Magister that they agree to publications of photos and videos that fit within the PR of our school. We do not publish recognizable photos of students if permission has not been given.

A special category concerns recordings made in the context of professionalization of teachers (in training) during teaching situations. The Lorentz Casimir Lyceum is a Trion training school for teachers. These recordings are used exclusively for post-teaching discussion with the teacher (in training) and then destroyed.

It is in the best interest of the school that those portrayed be portrayed in a positive manner at all times. Pupils and staff members who are recognizably portrayed on posters and in this school guide will be asked for explicit permission to do so. Naturally, visual material will be removed immediately if the person in question objects. Parents and students themselves also take pictures of school activities, such as presentation evenings, etc. As a school we assume that they will carefully consider whether to share this material with others.
