The Second Phase is a statutory educational establishment of the upper secondary school (year 4 and 5) and vwo (year 4 to 6, atheneum and gymnasium). Students have made a choice from four profiles in grade 3. A profile consists of a coherent educational programme that prepares the student well for a course at a university or university.
These four profiles are:
Each profile has a common part. In addition, there is a profile part with three compartments, which characterizes each of the profiles, and one profile selection box. Finally, there is a free portion. In the free section at least one free choice of examination course must be followed. In the free space, in addition to all existing courses at our school, the students can choose the courses HavoPro (the practical programme of society or technology), BSM (Moving, Sport and Society), computer science (only with NT and NG profile) and business economy. VWO students can opt for mathematics D (only with NT profile), computer science and business economy.
The final exam consists of two parts: the central exam and the school exam (exam file). Only a complete examination dossier gives the student the right to take part in the central examination. The requirements of the school examination are laid down in the Programme of Examination and Closure (PTA) and consist of tests, practical assignments, the profile workpiece and parts of operations.
The first period of the central examination will be taken in May. After this first period, all candidates may take one course in the second period in June. Students absent from one or more examination sessions for a valid reason may use the second and/or third periods to complete their examination. During the third period the examinations will be taken externally in August.
For all exams, students and parents can contact the secretary of the final exam, Mr E. van Kuppevelt.
The PTAs and the examination regulations can be found at LCL Home.
