The Second Phase is a statutory educational establishment of the upper secondary school (year 4 and 5) and the secondary school (year 4 to 6, atheneum and gymnasium). Students have made a choice from four profiles in grade 3. A profile consists of a coherent educational programme which prepares the student well for a course at a university or university.
These four profiles are:
Each profile consists of a common part, a profile part and a free part with in each part a choice of (mandatory) subjects offered by the school. In addition to all existing courses at our school, HavoPro (the practical programme of society or technology), BSM (Moving, Sports and Society), computer science (only in the case of NT and NG profile) and business economy can be chosen. VWO students can opt for mathematics D (only with NT profile), computer science and business economy.
The final exam consists of two parts: the central exam and the school exam (exam file). Only a complete examination dossier gives the student the right to take part in the central examination. The requirements of the school examination are laid down in the Programme of Examination and Closure (PTA). The profile piece and consists of keys, practical tasks, parts of operations and the profile piece.
The first period of the central examination will be taken in May. After this first period, all candidates may take one course in the second period in June. Students absent from one or more examination sessions for a valid reason may use the second and/or third periods to complete their examination. During the third period the examinations will be taken externally in August.
For all exams, students and parents can contact the secretary of the final exam, Mr E. van Kuppevelt.
The PTAs and the examination regulations can be found at LCL Home.
